Hi Tom i wanted to ask your perspective on Marvels continuity. I keep hearing people say that "have you seen the state of Marvels continuity lately" and honestly i don't think its bad at all. Obviously there are a few dangling plot lines here and there ,but compared to DC explaining everything with Superboy Prime punching a hole in reality it seems fairly concise for Marvel. Plus if there's one thing I've seen at Marvel you never know when a long abandoned story line will be brought back.

Everybody views the continuity from their own perspective–this is what is known as Personal Continuity. It’s the stories that you have read and that are important to you–the continuity that you care about.

I think that given its age and the sheer number of stories that have been done within it over that time, the continuity of the Marvel Universe is in pretty good shape. But that said, it pays to remember that the continuity is there to serve the stories, not the other way around. And that can be a tough thing to deal with if the story that’s being looked past is one that’s important to your Personal Continuity.
